Dear Friends in Christ,

Welcome to Zion's Web Page.

More importantly, I want you to know that you are always welcomed at Zion Lutheran Church.

As you can tell from the four worship services every weekend, we are trying to go out of our way to find a time for you and your family to come and worship with us. One of the unique worship offerings we have here at Zion is a regular scheduled Monday night service at 6:30. If you work weekends, or have been out of town for the weekend, Monday is a time you can still make it to the Lord's House. I feel that we have an excellent variety of worship formats here at Zion.

We alternate between The Lutheran Service Book, printed orders of service and a contemporary Family Praise Worship. The Family Praise Worship services are lead by an outstanding band which includes guitars, drums, keyboard and vocalists. The Family Praise services are held on the 2nd and 4th weekends of the month at the 10:30 AM Sunday services.

I have been here at Zion for over eighteen years. I grew up in Huntley, Illinois, just ten miles down the road. I feel we have a good mixture in our congregation. We have families who worship with four generations at the same service. We have many families who are new to Marengo and to Zion. Our school helps to keep the young families active in the life of the church. My own three grandchildren came up by me when I have children's messages in worship. Through the joys and sorrows of life, the Lord continues to bless the families of Zion.

The study of God's Word is a priority here at Zion. At the present time, we have many different opportunities to come together and study the Bible. There is a Bible study going every day of the week, except Thursday. There are two Sunday morning classes. I have information/new member classes three times per year. If you are interested, ask me.

Come and worship with us.

Come and grow with us.

Again, Welcome to Zion!

Yours in Christ,
Pastor Glen W. Borhart
